Gothic Movement
The Gothic movement has emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s in the United Kingdom and continues today with varying degrees of vitality, mainly in Europe but also in slightly different forms throughout the world.

This sub-culture movements after punk and new wave, inspired by the German Expressionist cinema, fantasy and Gothic novel, is characterized in particular (but without limitation) by an aesthetic dark, macabre, sometimes provocative. This translates into a dress code, fashion Gothic, mainly based on black and dark colors, often with nails accessories or elements considered mystics, and collected in accordance with the views as sexy, provocative, frightening or eccentric .

The Gothic movement should not be confused with the Gothic revival, which is an architectural movement "Gothic Revival" of the nineteenth century, characterized by the restoration of ancient monuments (such as Notre-Dame de Paris, fortifications of Carcassonne) or constructions but using modern new directory formal decorative and architectural styles developed in Europe in the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance.

The 69 Eyes is a group of Goth'N'Roll from Helsinki in Finland. Also known as "The Helsinki Vampires", the group emerged in the early 1990s and claims the influences of Stooges, former punk group of Iggy Pop, the Doors and Motörhead.
